Browser tabs fail to attach when selected tab has become inactive

Hi comm,

We have been proceeding with our 7.4 upgrade where we are facing an attach issue not seen in any previous versions we used (6.3, 6.6 and 7.1.1). So, the VBO attaches(Window Title A) to the parent application already running in a Chrome window. Now, an HTML attachment is opened from the application which is opens in a different Tab in the same window(Window Title B).

Here, the same object since is attached to the window, can identify elements in every Tab(A,B...) so the entire processing of B can be done in the same VBO.

But, I am using a different VBO to close B. and that too uses a similar attach action to attach to the parent tab A. Here lies the issue: This VBO attach is failing since Tab A is not activated after B is opened and hence I am not able to perform any actions on B. Activation of a tab was never something required in Blue Prism as all Tabs could be worked on if a VBO could be attached to any one Tab in a window.

Chrome Version being used: 135. Similar known issue found: https://support.blueprism.com/en/support/solutions/articles/7000090732.

I am not sure what is stated here as the workaround or if this is the same issue causing my problem.

did browser showing any chrome profile ? if yes then you might have to use guest mode

hi @swapnadeep_deb - If you are on 7.4 then it is known issue fixed in 7.4.1.
