Send key and Send key Events in Chrome is not working

Hi all
Why is Send keys and Send key events is not working in chrome application?

is this a major problem or only me whom I am facing only ?

It does work in Chrome. Could you explain what you tried?

I am working on google chrome, and at some point a popup window of chrome is opened, I need to close it
so I made a new object and attached it to the new window of Chrome, and I want to sent ( CTRL + W ) key to close that tab
it doesn't work !

however I tried to Send Keys to write into data field it didn't respond also !

Try adding in an Activate Application row just before with maybe 0.5 seconds pause after each step. It should still work as long as Chrome is still the active window, but it's worth trying to activate just in case. I'd also try the same thing in a different application to make sure that Send Key Events works at all on that machine. Sometimes Send Keys and Send Key Events don't function correctly on virtual machines, I've been told due to keyboard drivers issues.
