Hi All,

In our process automatons we end up requesting one ID per process. Say our automation interacts with ERP- A. We will have one ID created for that and eventually end up creating more and more IDs when we have more automatons.

This is maintenance heavy and we do face issues in licensing as well. Is there a best practice to follow ?

Thanks !
Manas

------------------------------
Manas Jena
Sr Analyst
ZimmerBiomet
America/New_York
------------------------------
Hi Manas,

Generally, you want to consider your Digital Workers in the same way you would a human worker when allocating user ID's. A single Digital Worker could execute multiple processes against the ERP system. In that sense, there would only be a single ERP system login required. If you have multiple Digital Workers executing processes in parallel against the ERP system, the best practice is to have individual logins for each Digital Worker as this gives you greater granularity in terms of the ability to audit the process execution and logging.

Cheers,
Eric

------------------------------
Eric Wilson
Director, Partner Integrations for Digital Exchange
Blue Prism
America/Chicago
------------------------------
Manas - To add on to what Eric stated, you'll also what to work with your HR and/or IT departments to understand what is needed to get a Digital Worker ID. For most companies this is different than an existing employee (no benefits, no paychecks get deposited), but also different than System IDs or Contractor IDs sometimes. You'll have to work with them to educate them on what a Digital Worker is and the reduced risk of a Digital Worker and the access it is given.

It's a process and one that is best started sooner rather than later.

------------------------------
Adam Binder
Head of Professional Services, Americas
Blue Prism
America/Chicago
------------------------------
