Need clarification on spying the element from chrome

Hi,
I have installed V6 BP, and trying to automate using chrome browser.
While spying its highlighted but while executing data was not wrote into that text box properly.
Could anyone assist me on this..

Can you provide more information? Screenshots, method of spying, method of writing the text (write stage, navigate stage, etc.), or anything else.

Hi,

Please find the details as below:

1) For windows application, after selecting launch app gets launched but instead of identify button still displays launch option as below,

2) For chrome browser, while spying the dropdown field (from) able to highlight it but not able to write the value in it (Since element type is webelement and not an Text edit - tried all possibilities of spying the field (browser mode))

3) For IE browser also same issue (HTML mde)

Kindly help me out on this...

Hello Senthil,

For issue 2, refer to below snapshots, this should give you some pointers. After doing the following configuration for the element in application modeller, I am able to read the value using Read Stage.

Hi Senthil,
for problem 1:
ensure calc.exe is launched from C:\Windows\system32 folder
use a navigate stage to attach application giving window title as "Calculator"
then you will get the application attached to BP and the identify button will be enabled. (this is how it work with windows 10 calculator application, BP cannot attach to the application on Launch 🙂

Solution for problem 2 is already given by Bala
