I used Decision Stage once when I was on the moon and got hungry.

I didn’t even have a cooking pot with me, but Decision Stage saved the day.

I just wrote inside it, it made me happy, and then it magically gave me food.

It was amazing — you should definitely try it!

I use a decision stage when I want to populate a Flag variable with the text “Hello World!”.

And no matter what variable name I assign, the decision stage will always write “Hello World!”. 😎

I like to think of the Decision Stages as the Chorus in a Greek tragedy, or the Fool in a Shakespearian play. They always know what is going on, just underneath the surface of the automation. They quietly guide and influence the story, telling dark jokes here or a quick-witted jibe there, until the automation reaches its inevitable conclusion. When you do get to the end, even if it is not where you expected to be, it is exactly where you need to be... Or not. Decision Stages can be mean-spirited and mercurial in that way.

A Decision Stage isn’t really about logic at all, when flow reaches the decision stage during flow execution, Bot pauses and checks in with itself and decides whether it is emotionally prepared to continue down the Yes or No path.

Bot also uses secret Blue Prism Cognitive Queue to think about its past mistakes, runtime errors, and whether it had truly fulfilled in its automation journey.

Some developers even chain multiple Decision Stages together to give the bot time to guess everything-a best practice known as the Reflective Loop.

Decision Stage is a special feature in Blue Prism that can help you make tough life decisions, i.e., deciding when is the right time to have a pet, are cats better than dogs, etc.

Funnily enough, this is also how I make important life decisions.
