Couldn't run any process from Control Room

Team,

I have changed my PC name recently and Blue Prism doesn't updated the PC in control room automatically and there is no provision to remove old resource name add a new one. Since the resource is in disabled mode I couldn't run any process from control room. Please help on changing the resource name or adding a new resource to control room.

Hi,

Here the information I have.

Blue Prism does NOT have the option to rename a Runtime Resource (machine). The resource name is derived from the machine name in Windows.

To change the resource name in Windows, take the following steps:

1) Retire the old resource name

2) Check if the option "Prevent registration of new Runtime Resources" is disabled.

3) To rename the resource in Windows 8 or 10, change the relevant machine name under Control Panel > System and Security > System > change settings (located in the 'Computer name, domain and workgroup settings section of the screen).
Tip: In older versions of Windows, you would change the machine name via 'My Computer.'
Changing the machine name should prompt you to reboot the machine, which will exit Blue Prism.

4) Once the machine is rebooted, re-connect to Blue Prism, and you should find that the resource name has been changed.

Try restarting the Listener or port number on it.
