Handshake Error

AnkitRaghav
Level 2

This error seems to occur the first time we do something or do something after a period of time.   Upon rerunning the process steps again everything is fine on 2nd attempt

I don't know weather this issue is internal to Blue Prism calling the object from the process or if this could be some sort of network issue (since it occurred connecting to POSH.. however there was no error on screen so I assume it is internal call of the object…  but I had already passes steps that called utility objects successfully and read network drives).

Connection Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement.  This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time.  The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=15747; handshake=0;

Hi Ankit,

We've seen that this type of intermittent issue can occur when a Blue Prism database is in need of maintenance due to large data volumes. This KB article describes the error message you're seeing and provides mitigation steps to either use the in-product Archiving function or manually clear down the data in the DB using SQL scripts.

Hope this helps.
