The assembly (DLL) mentioned in the error has to be on every local machine that needs to use the VBO. Give the same DLL to your colleagues to place on their machines as well. It'll also need to be on the Runtime Resource machines.

Hi,

All my colleagues has the same DLL.
This is not the reason of the error message.

Kind regards

Hi, Mateusz,

well, I agree with Dave that the reason is it can't find dll because that is what the message says. Can your colleagues try to copy the dll file in Blue Prism directory? It happened to me once that I put the right path in Initial Action - Code Option - it could not find the dll file until I put it in Blue Prism directory.

Hi Zdenek,

Yes it helps. When DLL file is in Blue Prism directory Object "PDF Management" works.

Unfortunately we cannot use this solution on our virtual machine. To input file in Blue Prism directory on virtual machine we need IT department assistance.  This is not available now and will not be for next months. We use others Blue Prism objects with DLL files saved in alternative folders and it works. I would like to use the same method for object "PDF Management"

We noticed that objects based on vb code works when we provide alternative path for DLL file. If object is based on C# code we have to input DLL file directly in Blue Prism Directory.

Hi

Could you also please help me on one of the issues i am facing while using the merge asset here. It is giving me error : "Internal : Could not execute code stage because exception thrown by code stage: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\aseems\Desktop\merge\'."

However, if i am giving the same path in split asset it is able to read and access and perform the splitting.

Not sure whats the issue here. Please help me resolve this.

Also if this issue is related to BP version, i am using BP 6.2. However not sure if its related to BP version as the Split PDF is working fine in same version.

Hi,

MergedFilePath Data Item should contain the file path. For Example C:\mergedfile.pdf. You will get this error if you give only the folder path instead (Eg. C:\).
Hope this helps.

@Tejaskumar_Darji,

Unfortunately, that is a limitation of the PDFSharp library. If you look at their FAQ you'll see that they do not implement all features of PDF v6 format. The only workaround, that I'm aware of, is to resave the actual PDF using the v5 format.

Cheers,
