Label Porting / Adding on old Ideas

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this since it isn't necessarily and idea, so please feel free to move it / tell me to post elsewhere if it's wrong.

When we created product ideas in the old community we had to select the product that they related to. When the Community got ported across to this new platform, this seems to have been lost, with only a few ideas having the new labels:

When I tried to edit one of my existing ideas to add the correct label it seems all I can do is 'Tag' the idea, which doesn't seem to have the same effect. There seems to be no option for me to edit my original idea to add the correct label(s).

Am I correct in this, or am I missing something? If I'm right, is it possible to allow the addition of labels to existing posts (perhaps only by the original poster or and admin). Otherwise, as time goes by, the older ideas will get lost. And having posted a couple of ideas just before the move, I wonder if that will happen to them...

Hello @foehl!

When creating a new idea, you should be able to see the Associated Products field here:

This should allow you to choose the product your idea relates to. If it's not there for you, let me know!

When editing an existing idea, it's the same field but it looks a little different:

Again let me know if this is not what you see, we're still ironing out some of the kinks 🙂

Hi Michael. The problem I have is I don't see an option to edit the post for ideas that were created before the move:

I wonder if this is due to the migration assigning the posts to a system account or something. Any ideas how I can edit the posts?

Ah - if it's a very old idea, you wont be able to edit it. The community platform restricts edits to posts over a certain age (to prevent spammers doing tricky things). If you send me a link to the idea and the change you want to make over a PM, I'll get this sorted for you.

It's not that old I don't think, made on the 14th March, just before the move.

My point was less about this post in particular though and more about the fact that the ideas seem to have 'lost' their product information in the move. So now when I click on the 'Decipher' label to see all decipher ideas, I only see those made after the move.
