We're delighted to announce our latest 24 hour Challenge: Jumpstart. The challenge is designed to develop and test your automation skills, as you and your team work through a series of essential automations. The challenge begins August 30th, 2023, and is open to 10 teams of 3-5 people.
What are 24H Challenges?
24H Challenges are designed for global teams to virtually get together in a mini-hackathon style competition. Each Challenge is designed to test your understanding of Blue Prism development best practices while pushing your technical ability with Blue Prism to the limits.
During this Challenge your team will have access to the Blue Prism environment for a total 24 hours over a period of 5 working days (commencing on August 30th) to solve the Challenge.
Once our Blue Prism judging panel evaluates the solutions submitted, they will select a winning team and two runners-up. The winning team will receive a prize of $100 for each member, whilst runners-up will receive $50 and $25 per person respectively!
What skills will the "Jumpstart" Challenge test?
This challenge is geared towards beginners with less than 12 months' experience using SS&C Blue Prism products. In this hackathon, you will be presented with three related challenges predicated on an invoice processing use case. Each challenge will build on its predecessors.
The challenges are relatively simple but will give exposure to common intelligent automation scenarios, including:
- Manipulating files and folders on the hard disk;
- Working with credentials & environment variables;
- Reading data from an MS-Excel spreadsheet;
- Interacting with an HTML application via a browser; and
- Using OCR to extract data from a scanned paper document.
