Hi Team,
I tried attaching chrome browser. But after attach is successful, I am not able to get any spy mode over there. To reproduce the issue please open chrome browser manually and try attaching then. Once attach is successful then you can not able to spy anything.
I tried multiple time in chrome browser and able reproduce the issue.
I have tested the same with latest BP6.10.

Still there are lot of improvement required for browser automation. As for now we are completely dependent on browser mode.

I also faced the same issues with 6.10.1. I can not spy or highlight any elements after manually launch the application with Chrome then attach to it. I tried gave child Index =0 , but it also can not work. may I know have you resolve this issue? Thanks.

By the way which Chrome version are you using? Here's some data points for the versions of browser that Blue Prism was evaluated https://bpdocs.blueprism.com/browser-compatibility.htm. Are you using one of these browser versions?

In order to get Attach to work in v6.10.1, you must use the fixed port option as found in System > Settings > Browser Extension Connectivity > Use fixed browser extension port (31924) only.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it works if I use fixed port on my local.
The issue is also in our VM that I do not have rights to change this setting.
Actually, it was not a big deal for me , since I can launch application first by BP as a workaround or I can development on my local, then move robot to VM. But, recently, when my peer run the robot on his VM instance, the no element found exception will throw sometimes. As designed, if it is not the system exception, the robot will navigate back to a start page by attaching the application then setting an address in Navigation stage. No exception throw during attach, but no element found exception shows during setting an address. It seems the connection between BP and chrome browser extension was lost or the browser mode can not work under some particular situation during robot runs.

Thanks for asking. I am using Chrome version 86.0.4240.198, BP 6.10.1, chrome browser extension 6.10.1. I believe it is ok.
