Hi Community,
Is JAVA8 locally needed for Blue Prism 7.4 installation and usage?
Could you also share all related articles to help support the installation as we are planning an independent upgrade soon.
Thanks,

Java is not required for Blue to work. However, you will need to have Java installed if you plan to work with an application that requires Java. Having Java installed will allow the development process to communicate with the target Java application or website and spy on the elements you like interacting with.
The following link will help you when installing Blue Prims:
- https://docs.blueprism.com/en-US/bundle/blue-prism-enterprise-7-3/page/install-minimum-requirements.htm
- https://docs.blueprism.com/en-US/bundle/blue-prism-enterprise-7-3/page/installation/bp-enterprise/standalone-deployment.htm
- https://docs.blueprism.com/en-US/bundle/blue-prism-enterprise-7-3/page/installation/bp-enterprise/advanced-config.htm
If you have any issues during an installation or trying to upgrade Blue Prism, feel free (create a ticket) to contact the support department. Just try to provide some basic information like in these two examples:
What information should I provide when reporting issues with the Application Server?
What information should I provide when reporting issues with the Interactive Client?
