Spying a .exe Java Application

eleni_sp

Hello,

I am trying to spy a java application which has been processed to a .exe file.

When I try to spy it as a windows application it only detects the outside window.

When I try to spy it as a java application, it requires a .jar file which I do not have.

Has anyone faced such a problem? Ideally I would like to have a java mode from windows application. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your time and effort.

Hi Eleni,

Java applications can be quite a challenge to work with, have you installed/enabled the Java Access Bridge? This is key to enable Blue Prism to be able to spy Java applications.

If you're still having challenges, I've found surface automation to work really quickly as well. If you get JAB installed successfully, you may find using a mix of Java and Surface Automation the best way forward.

Thanks
