Hello, The product release notes for 5.0.29 - April 2017 states the following: A number of changes have been made to ensure that sensitive items such as passwords are not held in plaintext in memory reducing the likelihood of a password being available in plaintext in a memory dump on a Blue Prism device. In conjunction with this, a new password element type has been added for Win32 application models which ensures that a password can be written to a password box without exposing the contents in plaintext within the managed process memory. Additionally it is now possible to optionally prevent passwords from being pasted into Blue Prism password controls. The last line suggests this option is related to pasting passwords within the Blue Prism product itself rather than being related to any application interfaces you may create, hence it is a global Blue Prism setting rather than an Object Studio setting.
