Hi Joan,
What kind of error do you get when you lost the connection? Or no error at all?
Please check in the Task Manager for "iexplore.exe" how many processes are running on this name ?
Have you tried to perform a reboot of the Resource machine? That will free up the connection and allow the Process to connect to IE browser.
