Darshan Hiranandani : Does Decipher Support Thai with Azure OCR Integration?

Hi everyone,

I'm Darshan Hiranandani, have a question regarding Decipher’s support for the Thai language. In the original version, Decipher didn’t support Thai, but the new version integrates Azure OCR as its core. Since Azure OCR supports Thai, does this mean Decipher now fully supports Thai as well, or is there more to it?

I’d appreciate any insights or clarifications from those who might have tested this or have more knowledge on the integration.

Here is the information regarding languages that I found in the Decipher 2.3 documentation: 

"The user interface is available in English, French, German, and Spanish.

Decipher IDP supports the following languages for OCR extraction: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Latvian. Slovak, Croatian, Afrikaans, Japanese, Chinese – Traditional, Chinese – Simplified, Korean, and Vietnamese.

The language, and associated locale, to use for data extraction is defined in Batch Types > General Settings."

Unfortunately, it looks like Thai is not a supported language in Decipher 2.3. 
According to the KB article "What languages does Decipher IDP support?", Azure OCR can be integrated with Decipher IDP to enhance OCR accuracy, but this is only limited to the supported languages. 

I recommend submitting this as an enhancement request so that the developers are aware that customers would like this to be added.
