I'm Darshan Hiranandani, We’ve recently upgraded from Blue Prism 6.10.2 to 7.3.1 and are encountering a problem with Microsoft Edge Chromium related to the Native Messaging Host (Blueprism.MessagingHost.exe).
The error I’m getting is ‘Could not open target process,’ and this seems to be linked to the fact that Blueprism.MessagingHost.exe takes around 20 seconds to load. I’ve adjusted the Messaging Host Detection timeout to longer periods (30, 60 seconds), but this didn’t resolve the issue.
Interestingly, if I manually start MS Edge using a ‘Utility Environment::Start Process’ action, wait for Blueprism.MessagingHost.exe to start, and then attach my object to the website, the automation works as expected.
Has anyone else faced this kind of issue? How did you resolve it? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
