Hi everyone,
How are you dealing with ambiguity at the field level? I usually try using sample headers and exclude headers in the DFD first. Are there other techniques that are working well for you?

Hi,
Till the date I am using sample headers only but I too have observed some ambiguity there, I see this more for Line item headers. Like it can not map Sample header with the line item header most of the time. Once I manually map line item table it starts taking that column.
I also wanted to know what you put in exclude headers, like you write all of the other headers there or how?
Thanks

You probably don't need to put all of the other headers in the exclude headers list. General categories of things to consider for exclude header (in order of priority):
-Any header where the wrong field is identified
-Headers that are semantically similar to, but distinct from, the target field
-Headers for fields that are usually located near the target field, especially if there is no visual boundary separating the fields
