Hardware specification - Concurrent BP Server services on the same machine

How are the hardware requirements affected when installing multiple Blue Prism Application server services on the same application server? For example, would the app server hardware requirement (according to picture) for 100 runtime resources be sufficient if it was divided into five production BP app server services instead of one?

If you will be installing 5 different app server services in 1 VM using the same specs, then each app server service (using a different port nr) will be able to handle 20 runtime resources.  The bottleneck in scaling up the app server is actually the number of network connections a server can handle and not its RAM/CPU that is why to scale up, we recommend adding another app server instead of increasing the RAM/CPU.

Also, bear in mind the 1:100 ratio is just a rule-of-thumb you can use as the initial estimate.  It's better to test it in your environment since it could be 1:50 or even 1:150.
