Hi BP Community,
I've experience this issue on and off since using Blue Prism. We are on the NextGen platform.
What happens is at times one or more Digital Worker sessions will get stuck in the queue in either a Created or Queued status.
We have 4 production DW's that all run all our processes. They are scheduled to run via an automation flow.
Sometimes one or more of the 4 DW's sessions will get stuck at one of the automation flow underlying tasks.
For example it could get stuck at the Login task or executor task of the process.
What I've noticed is say for example 1 of the 4 DW's don't run and their session is stuck, when the other 3 DW's have completed their sessions, the other 1 that was stuck will now become unstuck and run. Of course by that time though there is no more work in the queue as the other 4 completed it.
There are other times where for whatever reason the DW session will be stuck.
How do you get these sessions unstuck though?
I've tried rebooting the machine and using the taskkill command many times and that never seems to work.
Today all 4 of our DW's got stuck when trying to run a scheduled process and they've been stuck for hours. I can't see to get them going and running no matter what I try.
In NextGen it says that they are "Available" and if I log them out of the machine they go back to "Ready to Login".
When I check the licenses available it says all 4 are in use, even though I have no active running sessions. I'm assuming due to the queued sessions?
Any help would be much appreciated. I've opened many tickets with support over some now but I haven't been able to get a clear answer.
Just trying to understand if there is some method to resolve this when it happens. It seems to happen frequently enough, in some capacity.
Thank you all,
