Syntax Error: Invalid token (Commas being interpreted as decimals)

I get an invalid Syntax Error when trying to perform a Mid expression in a calculation stage, i.e., when evaluating Mid("United States", 8, 3), the the system reports that the token "0.80.3" is invalid. It seems to be interpreting the 8 and 3 as decimals. Please see the attached picture.

This sounds like something to do with the locale setting of the PC where commas denote a decimal point. Maybe try experimenting with an English setting?

Hi,   I have experienced this exact issue and the advice above is correct.  You need to change your number formats in the local regional settings to use "." as decimal and not ",".
