What is export/import of credentials for?

I'm planning to develop in a standalone environment and will export modules and send them to the System Administrator. I found credentials are able to be exported/imported. What is this for? Because the credential key is stored in App Server/Database and credentials themselves are stored in database of my standalone environment, I see why this function exists. Any idea?

Hi, It will reduce the efforts of cred creation. But when you will import the creds you will need to enter the creds. The cred values will not get exported with creds.
