From BP 6.4 you can partially segregate teams - separate folders for objects, processes, resources.
Unfortunately some critical parts are still common. It would be great to have a way for teams:

  • To manage/see their own credentials
  • To manage/see their own work queues

I have just requested exactly this feature too! Given work queues have a group / folder concept it would seem totally natural to extend MTE to the group type.

Hi Peter,
good to know there's more demand for it 🙂
Hi Team,

We would recommend that along with existing Multi Team setup

1, segregation  of Process and object logs based on user role and process group and object groups.
2.  segregation of Work Queues based user role and permission
3, segregation of Credential manager based on user roles

it would be great if you add those suggestion in blueprism for MTE.

Yes, I support this idea and would like Blue Prism to actively try to implement this... It will be a huge boon for RBAC...

Process and objects can be restricted from studio via access restrictions between different roles. But on the same note, Queues cannot be restricted between groups/users. Its directly exposed in Control room for all users who have access to the BP instance.

The impact is that, when we have shared environment, there is ask to get the access restricted for Queue for complaint reasons as the item tag can have any unique values between roles. Just because we are unable to do it, it leads to create  a separate BP Database  which in turn leads to additional maintenance, cost and housekeeping etc.,

It would be great if the feature can be introduced to have the restriction in place for queues as well.

Thanks in advance

Very good idea. Restrictions of Queue helps many business as we might have sensitive data. Blue Prism should definitely consider this in their next releases.
