Removing Resource Screen Captures

Hi,

We'd really appreciate an option within Blue Prism itself to delete Resource Screen Captures that has been generated on the Runtime Resources.

In addition to the user-initiated deletion for on-demand scenarios, it would be helpful to have an automatic system-controlled retention policy.

Eg "Retain latest runtime resource screenshot for a maximum of X days" where  X is configurable.

This would help organisations ensure they are compliant with data protection legislation.

Thanks for taking the time to raise an idea.

Can I ask for confirmation of how users would be expecting to delete the runtime resource screenshots? Would this be something that you'd be expecting users to be able to do from Control Room, or would it be a function that would only be available through System > Resources - Management? Would this be a one by one operation (i.e. right click a specific resource, select "delete screen capture" from the right click context menu), a bulk deletion capability for all resources simultaneously or something else?

I'm going to mark this idea as Needs More Info pending your feedback.

Hi @robert.nicklin,

At the time of writing, any solution that enabled removal on demand or automatically, outside of running queries in the database, would have been sufficient. For now I cannot advise what option would be optimal, but surely any option that removes the retention of the screenshot(s) indefinitely would be beneficial.
