✨Let’s Spill the Tea on the New Professional Developer Exam

Hey all, Brenda here 👋 I wanted to answer some questions we were getting about the SS&C Blue Prism® Professional Developer Certification exam. 

By now you know it's arriving in December but you had a few specific questions.

So let’s get into it. Here are the answers to the questions we’re hearing the most:

Q: How has the exam itself changed?
The exam still includes 50 questions, but now you’ll have 75 minutes instead of 60. And instead of 13 separate topics, the outline has been streamlined into 4 broader domains: Object Development, Process Development, Process Implementation, and Leadership.

Q: Is “Solution Design” new?
It is. Solution Design has been added to the learning plan and now lives within the Process Implementation domain of the exam.

Q: What else is new?
Expect deeper technical content, expanded topics like RESTful APIs, and — for the first time — a practice test to help you build confidence before sitting the real exam.

Hey @bweschke - This is exciting news! i am curious about below stuff for launch.

1. Will there be a new learning plan created for this certification which houses all the course?

OR User has to find/complete  each course individually.

2. By when user can start booking for exams. Did you zero on any particular date?

These are great questions! 😀

We will have a new Professional Developer Learning Plan launching early December, which will contain the courses you need to take to be successful in passing the exam.

Access to booking your exam will also be available early December as well so you can start to book your exam before the official release of the exam for dates after it has released. 

I will update people as we get closer to the release dates.
