Blue Prism Authenticator

Is anyone currently using the Blue Prism Authenticator to two factor into Microsoft?  Here is the link: https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com/cardDetails?id=124399

I was reviewing the documentation and noticed a few things..

1. On the screen, secret key is not called code, so I suspect that Microsoft has made some changes so I wonder if this VBO still works?

2. There are no details provided about the app registration and what permissions are required.

Any input or feedback on your expereince is apprecaited.

HI @ctz9843

Thank you for being a SS&C Blue Prism customer and for using Blue Prism.

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with this asset.

I think this asset may have suffered under the recent changes that Microsoft made to Authenticator. I will take a look and see what is happening with it.

When I have something to report, I will revert back to you here.

regards

@ctz9843 the VBO still works, but the example flow, that walks through the initial registration of a Digital Worker via the browser, does not. Microsoft has changed the flow/process somewhat (from what I've seen), so the App Model would need to be updated and the example process changed to account for the different screens.

From what I saw on my sandbox, they're no longer requiring the user to register on first login. I had to go to the DW's account page and specifically trigger the MFA setup.

As for permissions, what permissions are you asking about? With MFA you're applying the requirement on the digital workers user account within Entra ID (formerly Active Directory). There's no Graph API involved here if that's what you're referring to.

Cheers,
Eric
