Can you describe what you mean by 'not able to capture that page'? What did you try and what errors occurred? For example, it is very common to get a generic error like 'There was an error during the spying operation' or something like that, which would mean you didn't technically attach to the right window and/or process. When you try to identify/spy, which spy modes (if any) show boxes around the elements as you hover over them?

Hi Sagar,

Did you ever manage to sort this? I am having the same issue and not sure whether it's a limitation of the company laptop i'm using?

I launch Application Modeller, select the Element on the left, click "Launch" at the bottom right - which simply launches a IE page.
The button should show "Identify" after that... however it just flicks for a millisecond and changes back to "Launch". It loses the connection to the Internet Explorer page and i'm not stuck.... I cant highlight anything.

Has anyone figured out a solution for this? I'm new to the Blue Prism software so I'm hoping someone can let me know if there's a setting that I need to change?

Thanks

Sounds like you are trying to identify for first node mentioned in the left hand tree view. If my understanding is right then click on Add child button that will allow to add Element in tree view give a name and it will allow to click on Identify on right bottom side of the screen. Hope it helps.

I'm not sure what would cause this for IE, but some other applications have this issue. You may just need to create an Attach page/action that you run from Object Studio right before you want you spy/identify elements.

Create a page and call it 'Attach'.
Drag a Navigate stage onto the page and call it Attach.
Inside this stage, Drag the root node from the element tree onto the right side where you drop the element onto and then choose the action 'Attach' from the dropdown list on that line.
You then may need to fill in the inputs for Window Title, Process, and Child Index. The easiest way just for getting started is to put 'iexplore' for the process input and 0 for the Child Index. Then run the stage. If you only have 1 window if IE open, then it should attach to it.
Open Application Modeller and now you should be able to identify.
