Tuesday
Good day team,
I have a client that has an issue when migrating a Decipher process from Dev to QA environments.
An Error message is thrown as shown below. Please advise on how to resolve this issue, we as a team have little experience with Decipher at this stage.
Kind regards
Gavin

Hi, Gavin,
I would suspect as the error message says that you have already the same batch name in your QA environment and therefore the batch cannot be imported. You either have to rename it or delete the batch from QA environment even though I am not sure that it would fix it. The other option would be to go directly to database and delete the batch there but I would not recommend it.

Gavin,
We recently upgraded from Decipher v2.1 through to v2.4. I do not think that I actually touched the Batch information, but did run into the same issues with the Document Type and Document Form Definitions. In those instances, and being the creative type that I am, I renamed the original to be 'Document Type v2.1' and named the updated to 'Document Type v2.4'. I did the same for the Document Form Definition updates as well. I thought about deleting the originals but wanted to maintain some history.
Maybe somebody can confirm, but I think, in general, Decipher does not overwrite/update something.
I hope that helps,
Red
