Hi,
i have an issue where im not able to attach to the Webportal. Windows title is in Chinese and it seems BluePrism is not able to attach such window.
If i launch the webpage and i use WIN32 mode to spy whole IE Frame. i see the window text is in Chinese.
If i detach from the IE and try to attach again based on this window text i got from previous step.. its not working.
Could it be that BP has issues to attach windows in Chinese?
Our system is setup to use English (BP, Windows, everything) but this portal has no possibility to switch to EN.

What is the error you get while attaching.
Try attaching specifying process name & child index.

We have many customers using Blue Prism in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, who use Chinese language applications, websites, Windows version without problems, so the Chinese language itself shouldn't be an issue.
If you are able to provide some screen captures of what you are trying to do, it could help the readers here to diagnose the issue.

Hi,
Same process working for attach to google page, attach to BluePrism, but chinese portal get error: Internal : Failed to perform step 1 in Navigate Stage 'Attach' on page 'Attach' - Target application could not be identified
I was changing wildcards, even doesnt work with only 1 chinese character. From my understanding it must work if its working for other pages...
Attached 3 printscreens in the zip file with setup of the attach page

I was able to attach to the same website using this object. I did need to set Child Index = 0 in the attach action

Hi James,
thanks for trying it out.. For me still not working... It would probably be something wrong with my system setup.
Maybe some support for chinese is missing or who knows. I forgot to mentioned that im using version 6.4 but im not sure if it makes a difference at all.
I will try to find other users if they have same issue in the European EN environment, or EN/CZECH envrionment.

Hi, Pavel,
I replied in private email, however, sharing this with community in case someone else gets into trouble. The business object is using process id of that particular IE instance. That process id is taken through C# code stage. Very basic but works well.

Zdenek

Thanks Zdenek,
this gives me some Idea how to extend the Utility - Environment. There is similiar Action called Read Memory Stats, but it doesnt return the Windows Titles so i will tweak it little bit. The PID seems to be good way as i will be running more IE windows who knows in what languages, so there is possibility it can be handy in the future projects.
