I'd encourage you to go through the Release Notes for v7.1 before going ahead with the upgrade. (https://bpdocs.blueprism.com/bp-7-0/en-us/blue-prism/version7-overview.htm)
Apart from that if this is a simple product upgrade without the API/Hub component, it's fairly a simple and easy upgrade.
One thing I'd encourage you to do is back up your entire DB before upgrading, along with backing up BP releases.
Lastly, and you must be already following this, please try this on a non-prod environment first before deploying it in prod.
Note - You will need different licenses for v7+ as the ones for v6 are no longer compatible with the 7 version.
