The problem is the default port that the Chrome extension uses is blocked - 31924.  A restart of the machine is the short term fix but try in the settings to un-tick fixed port 31924. This issue is fixed as I understand in 6,9.

How do I go about un-ticking the fixed port 31924?

Within Blueprism GUI go to Settings and Under >>> System>>> Settings and scroll down to browser extension connectivity, after trying that if you are still not able to spy anything please raise a support ticket so that we can look at this issue further.

Kind Regards

@ZacharyFelts - Were you able to fix this issue? We are also facing similar issue and looking for some inputs to resolve it. Along with Browser mode i dont see option of accessibility mode as well in chrome.

I also referred chrome automation guide where it has some details on --force-renderer-accessibility. https://portal.blueprism.com/system/files/documents/v6.9%20User%20Guide%20-%20Native%20Chrome%2C%20Edge%2C%20and%20Firefox%20Integration_2.pdf. However this option is mentioned only for UIA mode.

When working with IE, it shows 5 modes (HTML, Window, UI, Accessibility, Region) but with chrome only 4 modes (HTML, Window, UI, Region)

Hi,

what version of blue prism and chrome extension are you running? Be sure to check the chrome extension on the browser is compatible with the version of blue prism.

Do you have fixed port 31942 set in the settings? If so, try unticking that and using dynamic ports.

you always need to restart the machine after you get into the no spy on browser state. It is the only way to reset.

@peterlacken - We are running with BP 6.8.1 and chrome extension 2.1. I believe this is a compatible set.
The settings port checkbox is unchecked by default and we haven't changed it.
