Date Format in DFD

JilaniShaik

Hi Ben,

1) When I was preparing DFD for date field in a document, I have selected Format as Date and in the Batch Type under General Settings -> Date Display Format, I have selected "Original" at one time and dd/MM/yyyy at another time. But in Data Verification for the above two date display format selections it is throwing a flag stating that it is in invalid format.
Note: The date is in the format of 07/01/2022(day/Month/year)
2) Also, sometimes I can see that decipher is changing the date format. If it is (day-Month-year) in the document which is captured as (Month-day-year).

How to make the right selection to extract the correct date which is in document?
Hope your answer may resolve my issues!

Kind Regards,

Hi Jilani,

What are your language and locale settings?

Also, have you checked how the dates are output to Blue Prism?

Thanks

Can you suggest me some inputs on how to work with date fields in DecipherIDP?

Hi Jilani,

Having two locale's specified will certainly make it tricky, but I'm guessing your scenario is you have US and UK documents for the same DFD?

This might be tricky as how will Decipher know which format the date is? If I give you the date 04/05/22, there's no way to know if it's the 4th May or 5th April without additional context from the document.

Is there any way you could separate the documents from different regions in Blue Prism and send them to different Batch Types?

Thanks
