Error - Failed to launch application - Could not open target process

Hi I am trying attach the application modeller to an existing process that was launched from a web browser however I receive the following error message: Error - Failed to launch application - Could not open target process There are no issues attaching to the application if it is launched from the desktop but this is not a feasible solution as the web browser passes security credentials to the application. I have compared the process when launched from the web browser to when launched from the desktop in task manager and the only difference appears to be the "UAC Virtualization" is blank when launched from the desktop and disabled when launched from the desktop. The application is Longview Tax. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. A couple of certified developers at the same firm as me have tried to resolve this but had no luck. Thanks Andrew

Hi, I think that it is not working because from BP point those are different types of applications (when you launch it via browser it is considered as Browser-based app while from Desktop as Windows App). Cannot test it but I believe that it will work with 2 Objects > 1st will navigate you through browser and launch the app, 2nd will attach that app to itself (it will need some experimenting, dunno if 2nd should be windows/browser app and you'll probably need to keep all App Modeler parameters empty and attach (and set parameters) with Navigate stage).

If you are using Blue Prism v. 4 or earlier, you'll need more than one object. If you are using Blue Prism v. 5., you can add a Win32 application to your application model of the existing object and re-add elements to be able to attach to it.
