Fix Truncated excel columns

Hello after reading an excel into a collection I have values truncated like 7.22512E+11 as seen in the image below. please how do i use blue prism to fix this column

Hello @DavidOku,

Are you saying the values are truncated in the Excel spreadsheet or in the Blue Prism Collection? And I assume by truncated you're referring to the scientific notation (ex. E+11) used in some cases?

Hello David,

You can use Format Cell action from MS Excel VBO and update cell format to Custom format.


Then perform a save action on excel and then try to Get the Worksheet as a collection.

This should resolve your issue.

Hi David

I think for this you would need to select the range in the worksheet and format it to either text or number. In scientific format the range will be taken as text into the collection as it appears in the worksheet. If you format the cells to text or number it should show the full number list before you get the range as a collection.
