Interact with element with classname 'AfxWnd40'

​I have an application, almost all elements are class of 'AfxWnd40', i would like to interact with these elements (e.g. get the content on it/get all items...) but all failed. system mesage as: Internal : Failed to perform step 1 in Read Stage 'Reader1' on page 'Action 1' - Is Item Selected is not available on controls with classname 'AfxWnd40'.

How to interact with this kind of element?

Hi,

It seems like the app is VB6 Grid Control, in other words, ActiveX Control.
So, you could use the technique of Surface Automation.
