ODBC Connect to Oracle Database via InstantClientLite Driver

SarahKnowles1

Hi there. I am looking to connect to databases in Oracle using ODBC connection, making use of the Oracle InstantClientLite driver. I have set up my DSN in ODBC Data Source Administrator and have tested connection, but am unable to make connection via Blue Prism to enable me to then use SQL queries to read and update data in the database. Can anyone point me in the right direction to first make connection via BP and then exectute queries?

Hello Sarah,

I would advise to log a ticket with the Blue Prism Support team and ask for the ODBC VBO.

You will then need to work out the connection string.
You can find more info on connection strings specific to Oracle here:

Hi.

I am using Oracle 19c.

Configured & tested connection using ODBC driver successfully.

Using Blue Prism's 'Data - ODBC' VBO.

For every attempt of establishing connection with target ODBC driver, an error is being encountered with the message, "ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified".

Even referred to Oracle connection strings.

May you kindly advise ?

Thank you.
