Resource pool and resource state

Hi, I wanted to play with resource pools a little bit. However I can see strange behavior when assigned resources to a resource pool. Control view shows incorrect state. For instance all resources are shown as Connecting. It does not change after restarting one of the PCs. When I remove a resource from the pool it starts to shows correct state in seconds. Of course I cannot run processes via that resource pool. I get " is too busy to run that process." Any ideas what do I do wrong? Cheers, Tomek A.

The 'too busy to run that process' message stems from the Run Mode of business objects. For example if a process uses only Background objects then it can run in parallel to a process that uses only Foreground and Background objects. However, if a process is using Exclusive objects then any attempt to run it alongside any other process will result in the message.

Hi John, The issues also occurs after I restart the machine. Overmore I cannot run (manually by drag and drop on the control room) second process (I have license for two processes) as I get message I am out of licenses: ""The requested operation is not permitted, because the license currently in use does not permit it."" I believe it may be related to my tests when I tried to run Login and a process in one schedule. At that time the second step was left in pending state. Now I am not able to find it anywhere. Is there a possibility to fix this somehow? Tomek A.

OK. Issue have been solved. I found the session in Control Room in Session Management. The name of the view, Today, was misleading but after I wrote previous posted I recalled there are filters which allow me to see older sessions.

Hi Tomek - that message is saying that you've hit the licensing limit. The licence controls the number of processes that can run at the same time. This means you can have many processes and many machines, but you can only run X number of processes at one time. I think you're right that the pending session hanging around is the blocker - I think that session is being counted towards the license limit.
