Hello,
After upgrading Blue Prism from version 6.9 to 7.2.2, we are experiencing a critical issue during SAP automation.
The same process that worked flawlessly in 6.9 now encounters a problem when executed via schedules in 7.2.2: during a specific SAP transaction, a loading bar appears indefinitely, and the process halts. SAP becomes unresponsive at that point, and the automation does not proceed.
Interestingly, if we run the process manually in debug mode (using Step Out), the transaction completes successfully and SAP responds as expected. This issue only occurs during scheduled execution.
Issue Summary:
SAP transaction hangs with an indefinite loading bar
SAP GUI becomes unresponsive during scheduled runs
Process does not progress beyond the Wait/Navigate stage in Blue Prism
Debug mode execution (Step Out) runs the process successfully without issues
Environment Details:
Blue Prism version: 7.2.2 (previous version: 6.9)
SAP GUI version: 8000.1.5.1161
SAP scripting: Enabled
Execution method: Blue Prism Scheduler
Automation approach: Attach → Navigate → Wait → Get Text
Actions Taken:
Adjusted wait conditions and timeout settings
Reconfigured SAP GUI settings
Launched Blue Prism with admin rights
Reinstalled and patched SAP GUI
We would appreciate guidance on whether this is a known issue in 7.2.2 or if there are additional compatibility configurations required for SAP automation to function correctly during scheduled executions.
