I've been working in a project that has 4 big processes, each one of them with his own Environment Variables (lots of them) would be nice if there's any way to group them by folders or something like that, Would help in the organization of the project itself and will be faster to look for a varaible that just one process need.

This would be an amazing feature!
Currently, if you develop more than 1 medium/large process, this area can get very messy - to the point that it can be better to use external config files.
Adding collections as an environment variable type would help organisation even further!

Must have feature . Currently we are somehow managing via strict Naming convention.

This is a MUST Have feature. Not sure why it has not been included by BP so far into their build pipeline.  We already have 100+ processes on one server and its very difficult to shuffle through specific environment variables.

It would also be good if this were included in the Multi-Team Environments feature so that access can be restricted based on User Role to each set of environment variables.
Hi Daniel,

Hello,

We've recently reviewed our delivery plans and have opted to deliver the filtering aspect of the idea previously linked to this one in an upcoming release.

As a result of this change, we're opting to move this idea out of it's Duplicate status to represent the enhancement request of grouping together Environment Variables.

As this idea (and the linked idea) has a large number of votes, we're opting to move this into a status of Planned – Later on the basis that we are developing this capability within our browser-based interfaces.

In addition, the recent release of Blue Prism 7.2 includes the following related enhancement:

  • Environment Variables API – Setup and manage environment variables, enabling the capability to move data between environments. Enables IT systems to notify the digital workforce that external systems are not available to automate; and provides the capability to search and filter the environment data.

Regards,

Rob
