Quicksave

Hello!

As a developer we get conditioned to save ALOT and typing a comment every time means a distraction from the thought-process. I understand this is due to the commits to the DB behind BP.

A feature to Quicksave (ctrl+s) to temporarily save the changes locally without a comment would make developing alot smoother. That way you could test objects until they work the way you want them to, and then commit them to the DB. The same way most developer tools work these days.

Maybe there can be an option in which we can specify if we want to enter save comments everytime or not

Talking about v6.4.0
There is an option to "Force users to summarise their changes when saving a process or business objects". So if you dont like it, it can be turned of.
There is also the option of autosaves. Although it is for recovery purpose only and cannot be used by other processes until saved regularly.

I think what are you aiming for is more of development / release process rather than the tool. You can turn off the needs of comments during development but document all changes when you bring the item into production.

Or attach a predefined text to the new QuickSave option. One that will always be used. Typically, it would contain date, time and user-ID/name as well as some standard text.
