Sheela

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade BP 6.4 to 6.10.
So we would like to know which version of 6.10 is more stable in terms of Chrome/Edge automations.
Your suggestions are appreciated!

Regards,
Sheela

Hi Sheela.

The version with the most up-to-date for Chrome/Edge is v6.10.3 but v6.10.4 has all of them plus some additional tweaks for BP queues.

I would also suggest to go with 6.10.4 the most updated one.

6.10.4 contains only minor improvements to queue management. 6.10.3 contains all browser-based improvements that you would get from 6.10.4 with the added assurance that it has been around longer and therefore is more stable. For your reference, our organisation takes an n-1 approach to BP versions.

n-1 approach is good. We are also following same approach.

i am aware that BP V6.10.1 has issue related to Edge and Chrome browser. I would suggest go for BP V6.10.4.

To help you choose, we also publish:

PS: Blue Prism 6.10.4 is 6.10.3 plus fixes in how Blue Prism Control Room shows Work Queue data.  The changes were deliberately kept to a minimal to aid customers adopting 6.10.4 who have already gone through a bigger jump to 6.10.x recently.

Kind regards

Just want to call out that it makes little sense to go with N-1 if N can be 6.10.3 and 6.10.4. In Blue Prism, the increment of the last digit in the release number would almost always relate to bug fixes or patches. A customer should always look at upgrading to the latest dot release (6.10.4) within a minor release (6.10). N-1 only makes sense in the context of different minor releases, e.g. selecting 6.10 when there is 7.0.
