Community friends -> applications for SS&C Blue Prism MVP are open now! You can find FAQs and the application form over at:
https://community.blueprism.com/mvp
And if you have the time, stay a while, I'd love to tell you more about the changes we've made for MVPs this year and beyond.
A bit of backstory...
Our Most Valued Professionals are a team of volunteers who raise their hand to help spread knowledge and inspiration across the SS&C Blue Prism Community. They answer questions, share use cases, write technical blogs and even run hackathons or judge our annual Customer Excellence Awards (and a lot more to boot!).
As thanks, we've always sent MVPs a big box of fantastic goodies. I'll hand you over to @kirtimaantalwar's excellent unboxing video:
Though it's not just goodies. MVPs get exclusive opportunities each year to grow their personal brand a professional reputation. Whether it's @mwulff sharing incredible advice on leading an automation team from the heart, @shreya.khot putting her backlog destroying automation story on YouTube or even @Tejaskumar_Darji contributing to our beginner's guide to automation ebook. We put MVPs on the stage so that they can shine in their best light, and become influential experts in our field.
So what's changed?
Over the past 2 years of working with our MVPs, I've learned 2 things:
- They're the kind of people who don't do this for the goodies. MVPs are MVPs because they are the kind of person who would help you grandma cross a busy street. Helping just makes them happy.
- They're the kind of people who want to move fast. In the past year alone, we've seen MVPs get promoted, get new jobs higher up their career path, become parents, win clients for their agency and be the first to implement AI into their workflows.
We've also realised that it's time for our MVP team to grow. Typically, we've restricted the team to 30 people, which has really limited our reach and disappointed a lot of would-be MVPs.
So this year, we've made 3 key changes:
Change 1: Become an MVP at any time
No more annual recruitment cycle. As soon as you're ready and eligible to become an MVP, you can apply. We're adding MVPs to the team all-year-round from now on.
Change 2: Less swag, more speed
We're getting rid of the big box of goodies and instead focusing on rewards and experiences designed to help you move fast in your career. As an MVP, you'll earn a free Blue Prism University certification voucher, you'll get access to mentorship and guidance from the SS&C Blue Prism Professional Services team, you'll get a bi-annual report for you or your line-manager highlighting the contributions you've made to the automation community and exclusive knolwedge & feedback sessions with a wide range of subject matter experts across Blue Prism. (But don't worry, you'll still get an MVP awesome trophy for your desk!)
Change 3: Voices of change
MVPs will be involved in 2-way conversations with decision makers across Blue Prism. From product management to methodologies, education to leadership. If you want to make an impact to the way that SS&C Blue Prism develops, operates and leads in the automation space, being an MVP will enable you to act as the voice of the community in your region or discipline.
If you're wearing a smile at this point, you should probably apply 😉
If you'd like to learn more about the new program, the rewards, the expectations and activities, head over to the FAQ.
A personal note...
This past year has seen so much change in our profession, our industries, our countries and the world - and change at the pace we're experiencing can be incredibly scary. But a constant is that automation is a force for incredible good in the world (take, these, case, studies, for, example) - and the work you do improves human experiences. My hope is that our MVP program is one small way that we can say thank you, highlight your stories and, above all, help you to lead the automation profession forward as we move through new eras.
Watch out for more from me as we welcome new SS&C Blue Prism MVPs, and I hope to see your applications very soon 💙
Love and robots,
Michael
