Credentials Information

Hi ,

Can we store bulk conditionals into one Vault name. Let us say multiple users logging into application with credentials how to store all login credinitials into same Vault?

There is only one 'Vault' per Blue Prism environment. The most common way is to create and maintain separate credentials in Credential Manager for each user. If there are a lot then I suppose this could be cumbersome from the UI, but it makes no difference when retrieved from a process. The names of the credentials just need to be unique and you can create and maintain as many as you want.

In this case, how would the process retrieve the correct credential for the user if the name were unique?  We have two digital workers that have their own login credentials for a third party website. 

If there are multiple options for the Credential using a unique name, how would the correct Credential be selected in the process?

Hi, Leslie,

if your digital workers are called let's say Robot1 and Robot2 then the credentials for the web site would be called "Robot1 Web Site" and "Robot2 Web Site". Then you have unique credentials and when you run the process you can call a Blue Prism action - Get User Name which will return Robot1 or Robot2 and you append Web Site and you get the right credentials. This is what @Dave Morris  ​meant if I am not mistaken.
