Sunday
Good morning, All,
With the last update to the UI/UX of the Digital Exchange, there are a few 'legacy' functions that seem to no longer be present. Three specifically lead to my [eventual] question: 1) no sort options, 2) no filter options, and 3) the lack of the 'grid view' (which also showed the last update to the item). I am making the not-so-tacit assumption that the current sort order is by 'most recent' to 'oldest' update (or maybe upload date). That all said, the 'Utility - Environment' item has been in the 'Number 1' spot for about five or six weeks.
So, I promised a question... Are updates occurring and I am not recognizing them?
I am not intending this to sound critical, I am really just curious.
Thanks,
Red

Hey Red,
I hope you are well. As you know the DX has been getting a make-over recently. We are adding the needed features as quick as we can to achieve 'parity' with what the DX was previously.
I think all I can say is for the time being is, please bear with us. We are getting there but its a major redesign that has gone on and its all pretty new from the ground up. Hopefully, this technology will be easier to maintain going forward and provide a more efficient DX for everyone.

It was a Product decision to remove all search filters in favour of semantic search.
Can I get a like if users would prefer these search capabilities to return?

Hi @stepher
Expanding a bit on James' response, the DX use to employ a trigram-based search feature which is what you might recognize as traditional or legacy search. This is where matches are based on the first three characters that match with the input are considered "close matches". To improve trigram search we leveraged filtering as the responses could really be all over the place.
The new search engine of the DX is based on a sematic search capability leveraging AI and LLM calculated embeddings of the available assets. What this means is that the searches are faster and, in our testing, more accurate. Instead of just searching on a single term try entering a human friendly sentence or description of what you're looking for.
As for the view, we decided to move to the current infinite scroll capability which is similar to other marketplaces. We can look at adjusting that to a paged display or adding an option to switch to a table view.
Cheers,
Eric

Thanks, all,
First, thank you all for the responses.
Second, I just want to be clear that I am more concerned about content updates than missing functionality. I like the new look and feel. That said, I do think that sort and filter options would be very useful. I used to filter by who published the item and whether it was a 'core' item. The grid view is not a loss for me.
Thank you for all of your work on this,
Red
