PDF Reading

Hi
 I need to read a file. But spy mode is not working(win32 mode, regional mode). UI mode works but if uncheck some if attributes which are dynamic....it won't recongnise

is it digital PDF or scan?

1. digital PDF - the best way would be to search Digital Exchange for some VBO. I found one https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com/dx/entry/58413/solution/utility---pdf which might do the job.
2. scan PDF (an image) - then you would probably need to use Decipher from Blue Prism or some other third party tool first to convert image to text and then extract it.

Hi,

Using Adobe Reader you can copy entire PDF to save as text and save a notepad file.

See if that fits your requirement.

Hi Karthik

Is the file you need to read a scanned document or is it just a pdf someone has created? If its one someone has created for a purpose then try opening it in word which would then let you use the data from it more easily. If this is a scanned doc have you tried using the region mode and read OCR?

I think our VBO suits you if your PDF is not scanned.

On the other hand, if your PDF is scanned and can not be extracted as text, you should use an OCR software for example Azure Computer Vision is a wonderful solution if there is not any obstacle to work in cloud.

https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com/dx/ There are many tools in our DX to read the pdf such as Abby flexi capture, Rossum, kofax  etc. 

Other way is  through Python code and once the python code is developed you can call that python code in Blue prism to perform pdf reading. You can use google vision or azure API to do image to text reading .
