I am trying to understand , where do I install my another licence to make a multibot architecture.

Generally application Server is able to handle 50-100 runtime recourses, but where should I install my new license.

Hi Nikhil, all Licenses should be installed on the Blue Prism Application Server, because usually in a multi-bot environment all communication happens via the BP Server (e.g. from Runtime Resource or Interactive Client to BP Server to Database/SQL Server).
For more info you can have a look at the Installation Guide: https://bpdocs.blueprism.com/bp-6-10/en-us/Guides/Installing/typical-deployment.htm?tocpath=Installation%7CInstalling%20enterprise%20edition%7CMulti-device%20deployment%7C_____0

Hi Nikhil, you can stack different licences on the same BP Server, each will have their own duration and licence ammount.

Keep in mind that if you are going over 100 resources you will need a second BP Server.

Hi Nikhil,

Once you have the license key, just upload it in Blue Prism through System > License. Appropriate privilege should be granted to your user to perform this.

Check with your Blue Prism admin if you don't have the access.  Cheers.

Hi Nikhil,

Lot's of good advice so far, so just to tidy some it up.

A license key file is imported into the respective Blue Prism environment through the application. As per Gregorio, this is done in the admin panel. Another key piece of information here is that you will then need to stop, then restart the Blue Prism service on the Application Server for the license to take effect. Ensure that this is done when no processes are running. This will need to be done in each environment, e.g. Development, Test & Production.

It is recommended that you always start with at least 2 Application Servers for resiliency purposes, as you correctly point out each one can support up to 100 digital workers. However, this would give you high availability in the event one of the servers had an error. You use a Load Balancer to direct the traffic and this would also enable you to quickly add further servers if required.

If you have any further queries regarding infrastructure requirements, please reach out to your local customer support team.

Thanks
