Credentials vault

Hello Everyone,

When I try to import my credential vault into dev in the prod environment. It was successfully imported, however, we could not obtain user name and password in an import environment (PROD).

If there is a security problem, we would not be able to see the user details after importing the ID safe into a new environment. Please assist us in this matter.

Thanks
Vignesh.S

Hi Vignesh - the credential values, ie the user name and password, are deliberately not made part of the release file.  Developers should have no access to Prod - the idea is that the developer knows what the name of credential but not the details. Typically credentials are named using the machine name (eg PC123456_ServiceNow) or the digital worker's Windows account (eg DW0001_SAP), so the developer can design a solution that will automatically pick up the correct credential. But as far as setting up and maintaining the credential values, that should be the job of the Prod admin.
