Edge Browser Not Loading Page After Update to Version 128.0.2739.42

Hi Everyone,

Since Microsoft Edge updates automatically which was update to version 128.0.2739.42, on 22nd of August

All of our Blue Prism processes dependent on Microsoft EDGE are no longer able to load pages in the browser. Previously, everything was working smoothly, but since the update, the browser just remains blank and shows Page Loading...

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, are there any workarounds or settings adjustments that could resolve it?

For context we are using

Blue Prism version: 6.7
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,

This is a known issue with Edge v128 documented in our announcement here: [NOTIFICATION] Issue with Browser automation after Microsoft Edge v128 update

Edge version 128.x isn't yet validated against our software as of the time of this writing. It was only released into the stable channel 22-Aug-2024, and so isn't yet in our supported versions list, we would recommend only running tested versions, especially in production environments. We can recommend reverting Edge to a supported version for now.

The supported versions can be seen here:
Browser extension compatibility (blueprism.com)

Policies regarding forced updates will need to be raised internally in your organization, as they go against our ROM best-practices. Forcing updates into a Production environment before they can be fully tested will introduce a high likelihood of causing incompatibilities and issues, which they will need to consider when implementing these policies.
