Getting to know the process id

Dear Community

I'm testing the "Read Memory Stats" action of "Utility-Environment" Business Object to obtain the process id.

The process of which ID I want to know is:

18870.png

This is how I tested the action.

I got a wrong PID.
Can anyone correct me if I'm using this action in a wrong way or should I use a different object?

Best regards

Hi @HongJooChoi

Put only "iexplore" in the process name column.

You will get all the Internet Explorer processes stats.

To know the name, in the Task Manager, go to Details, and see the "Name" that you want. (remove the extension, in this case, .exe)

Hope this helps you! and if this solves the problem, remember mark as the best answer 😄

See you in the community, bye 🙂

Hi HongJoo,

Apologizing beforehand for the risk of stating the obvious: You are aware that IExplore is about to be discontinued by Microsoft in a few months?

Hi, Paul

Yes, I'm aware of it.
Thank you for your input, though.

This is part of my personal practice for migrating IE based applications to the Edge based ones for the upcoming project.
I recall that there was an issue in the past when I was upgrading BP v6.4 to BP v6.9 for a customer, when the Launch action didn't work properly and all of them in every objects should be revised accordingly. I just hope there's not much issue this time for upgrading v6.8.1 to v7.0.1.

Best regards
