Global Send Key Events Fail

Hi, I am working on automating a website, which I made on local machine and has GLOBAL SEND KEYS EVENT : DOWN which is working fine. But on VMware GLOBAL SEND KYS EVENT like DOWN , ENTER are not working. What can be the solution to it? Why is it not working on VMWare ?
